OECFとは言え,久しぶりの朗報ですね。60億円は少し小さいが。
Oct 27, 1997 Nikkei English News via Individual Inc. :
TOKYO (Nikkei)--Japanese trading house Mitsui & Co. (8031) has won
a 6 billion yen contract from the Nepal government to build a hydraulic
power plant, together with Toshiba Corp. (6502) of Japan and a major French
electric machinery manufacturer.
The plant will have an output capacity of 150,000 kilowatts, nearly half
the country's current electric power output. The Overseas Economic Cooperation
Fund and the Asian Development Bank have agreed to provide loans for the
project.
The plant, due for completion in 2000, will be built at a site near the
border with India, 300 kilometers west of Katmandu. The tender was to build
three 50,000 kilowatt generation systems.
Defeated bidders included Siemens Nixdorf Information System AG from Germany.
The demand for electricity is growing at 10% a year in Nepal because of
economic expansion.
