合計12件の滞った水力発電プロジェクト（累積容量は11,517メガワット）が、公共部門の事業（インドの国営企業の呼称）に割り当てられたと伝えられている。これらのうち、合計 2,620 MW の 5 件のプロジェクトがノース イースタン電力公社に割り当てられ、5,097 MW のうち 5 件がサトルジ ジャル ヴィデュット ニガム社に割り当てられ、残りの 2 件の容量 3,800 MW プロジェクトが国立水力発電公社に割り当てられています。約150億ドル。

この地形は地滑りが非常に起こりやすいことを考慮して、専門家らは、このような大規模な水力発電プロジェクトは、いわゆるアルナーチャル・プラデーシュ州そのものだけでなく、下流の州、特にアッサム州にとっても重大な危険であると考えている。多くのプロジェクトは依然として環境影響評価の許可を受けていません。
