日本の場合も，３月９日時点での専門家会議筋からの試算では，「日本での感染者数は４０万人に達し，入院治療の必要者は２０万人となる」と言う試算が出ているが，朝日新聞が報じて以来，官民ともこれを無視している，しかし，大阪府知事や都知事の度重なる警告は，この時の試算を見ている，
